Breadalbane Explorer Bus

06/05/2015

MAGICAL RING OF BREADALBANE EXPLORER STARTS NEW SEASON ON 12 MAY

A new season of outdoor adventures begins when the award-winning Ring of Breadalbane Explorer mini bus service starts its new season on Tuesday 12th May. It will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays until Sunday 18th October.

van1The Explorer enables walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers to enjoy sections of the magnificent linear routes that make up the Rings of Breadalbane, returning on foot or bike to their start point or reconnecting with the bus further around its route. The mini buses have bike trailers and take well behaved dogs.

The route also provides access to other popular walks, ranging from Munros to local walk networks, and calls at Comrie Croft, which has superb mountain bike trails.

The “hop-on hop-off” service runs through spectacular scenery, passing alongside Loch Tay and Loch Earn. The route visits places not covered by other public bus services, providing links between highland Stirling and Perth & Kinross.

The circular route connects Crieff, Comrie, St Fillans, Lochearnhead, Killivan 2n, Kenmore, Acharn and Aberfeldy and provides easy access to Breadalbane’s top tourist attractions including Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, Highland Safaris and the Scottish Crannog Centre.

The timetable can be viewed or downloaded at breadalbane.org, which also lists 12 ideas for fun adventures to enjoy on the Explorer.

To keep up with news of the Explorer, people can follow @seeBreadalbane on Twitter or like the Rings of Breadalbane page on Facebook.
