Guided Heritage Tours – Sunday 7th May, 2017 – Our ‘First Sunday of the Month Guided Heritage Tours’ start at Cultybraggan Camp, just outside of Comrie on Sunday 7th May 2017, from 11am til 4pm with last tour at 3pm.
Suitable for all ages and abilities, we will guide you around the best preserved WW2 Prisoner of War Camp in Scotland and latterly a MOD training establishment – we will take you past the Chapel, Officers Mess, Guard Block, Comrie Allotments, the Nuclear Bunker and through the last remaining almost intact part of the camp – Compound D and give you a fantastic insight to life in a POW camp and talk about escapes, murders and reconciliation.
Only £4 for adults, £3 for concessions and under 16’s absolutely free. Tea and biscuits available too.
If you can’t make it on Sunday 7th we are also running tours on June 4th, July 2nd, August 6th September 2nd & 3rd (Doors Open Day Weekend) and October 1st or you can visit the Camp at any time and go to Hut 1 Comrie Heritage Centre, which is open every day of the year except Christmas Day, from 7am til 9pm, where you will find an exhibition on both Comrie and Cultybraggan Camp through the ages up to the present day, as well as how the old guard hut was environmentally refurbished. Here you will also find a ‘Self Guide’ leaflet to help you look around the rest of the Camp.
