Job Description – Office Manager, Comrie Development Trust

 

Comrie Development Trust (CDT) is recruiting an Office Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the CDT Office. The right person will have skills and experience, suitable for a wide range of responsibilities including managing and developing office infrastructure, policies and procedures and overseeing and administering funding applications and reporting. They should also have excellent administrative and communication skills and be proactive, organised and practical.

Cultybraggan Camp is a community owned, historic 50-acre site a mile outside Comrie in Perthshire. The former WW2 POW Camp now hosts a range of community groups and activities, alongside 30 or so businesses, and welcomes heritage and event visitors.

 

The postholder will be responsible for:

 

  • Managing CDT Infrastructure (eg IT systems, Sharepoint/paper filing systems, equipment and supplies etc)
  • Providing administrative support to the CDT Board and to fellow staff members
  • Developing, updating and adherence to CDT’s policies and regulations (e.g. data protection, health & safety, etc)
  • Supporting CDT staff in the preparation and submission of applications and reports (e.g for funding applications)
  • Ensuring effective communication flow within CDT, camp users and the wider community

 

The qualities, skills and qualifications required for a successful application are:

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, website management, social media and other relevant IT systems
  • Evidence of excellent administrative skills; methodical, organised and pragmatic
  • Thorough approach and with great attention to detail
  • Highly numerate and literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and determined
  • Open and friendly; a good team worker with a “can do” attitude
  • Qualified driver with a full, clean driver’s licence.

The role may require occasional evening and weekend work. It is expected that the successful candidate will be in the office on at least 4 days per week.
