Naomi Clarke is Comrie’s Energy Advisor, providing free information about grants, funding, energy saving measures and renewable technologies,  in Comrie.  Naomi can look at your bills, contact energy companies, speak to the Energy Saving Trust for you fill in forms, survey your house and answer any questions you may have. To start saving money and have a warmer home, please contact Naomi email: nclarke@comriedevelopmenttrust.org.uk  Phone 07999 585732 or pop into the office on Drummond Street on a Monday or Wednesday.

You could be eligible for help.  As well as advice to cut your bills you may even qualify for extra income, discounted energy rates, free insulation or a new central heating system. Call the Home Energy Scotland Hotline today on 0800 512 012 or complete their interactive Home Energy Check or even ask Naomi , your local advisor, to do it for you.

 

 

 

Home Renewables Loan Scheme

The Energy Saving Trust is offering interest free loans of up to £10,000 for heat generating renewables such as So

lar Thermal, Biomass and Heat Pumps.  In addition the Scottish Government are offering a £2,000 cash back voucher for those who install under this scheme.

They are also offering up to £2,000 interest free loans for electricity generating renewables such as Solar PV, Wind Turbines and Micro Hydro. More information and loan forms are available here. Naomi can help you fill in the forms, call the EST on your behalf and  and talk you through the process having experienced it herself!

Bust those Draughts this Winter!

Draught-proofing is one of the cheapest and most efficient ways to save energy – and money – in any type of building. Full draught-proofing will save you on average £55 per year and enable your to turn down your thermostat, saving another £60 per year. For full practical information on how to reduce draughts, Local Energy Action Plan (LEAP) have produced a practical guide on what products to use where and how to fit them.
