Sports & Recreation in Comrie – SURVEY

22/06/2015

The Comrie Development Trust is currently working alongside two environmental intern students from Edinburgh University. Bonnie Hamilton and Grace Sutherland, of Alma College in Michigan, are helping to undertake a survey researching demand from Comrie people for sport and recreational facilities in the village, rather than having to commute to club activities in Crieff or further afield each week.

The Trust is interested in improving the amount and frequency of sporting and recreational activities throughout the village and for all ages and abilities. To get a good understanding of the community, the students stayed at the Comrie Croft Hostel, ‘Combruith’, and used local facilities and public transport. CDT marketing and communications officer Katie Malloy explained: ”Results of this research will produce some quantifiable information that will be shared with all village sports and recreation groups and their facilities. A survey has been drawn up and can be completed by clicking the link: Sports & Recreation in Comrie”
