Skeletons Revealed For 4 Star Catering – Update

12/08/2020

Refurbishment of the hut buildings has also started, and it is interesting to see the skeleton of these unique buildings when the outer skin is peeled off.

Self Catering Project – Update

This skeleton view of the first of the Nissen huts to be refurbished, reveals the unique structure of these historic buildings. Modern highly efficient insulation will be hidden between the metal walls, where POW’s had previously stuffed with straw to keep themselves warm.   Construction work on the services is progressing well with most water connections and the sewage system upgrade complete.  Trenching work for electric cables and high speed fibre broadband is underway as is the work on the district heating system.
