Vintage Motorcycle Club’s S&T Rally, Cultybraggan

11/08/2016

Here are some photos for the Stirling Castle Section of the Vintage Motorcycle Club’s S&T Rally from last Saturday. (Aug 2016)
The S & T Rally is an average speed and reliability trial held one a long route of 100 miles and shorter route of 70 miles around Perthshire countryside on public roads.
The bikes set off at 1 minute intervals and have to stick as closely as possible to a pre-declared average speed of 20mph, 25mph or 30mph on a route that is only given to the entrance on registration on the morning of the rally.

CDT hosted the VMCC S&T Rally at the camp last weekend and it proved to be a big success. So much so that the Stirling Castle Section of the VMCC would like to book it again for next year which was what I was hoping for. The dates will be Friday 4th, Sat 5th and Sun 6th September 2017.

There was great feedback from the club committee and all of the entrants attending the rally. We were congratulated about the camping facilities and shower units and the use of Hut 41 which we managed to hook up to a John Kettles loaned generator to power the lights and sockets. The Stirling Castle club committee did most of the setting up and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.
