Comrie Development Trust and Catherine Reid, our Zero Waste Scotland Volunteer Co-ordinator, encouraged even more people in Comrie to compost their food and garden waste at home and to grow their own food throughout the Compost Awareness Week.
There were Compost Awareness Sessions at Cultybraggan Camp, where Catherine gave away Comfrey plants that can be used as a compost activator, as green manure or made into liquid plant feed. Further compost awareness sessions were held at Comrie Croft where they are working to increase opportunities for their campers and other guests to reduce and recycle.
